Functie omschrijving
Reporting to the finance director of Aalberts, you will manage a timely, efficient and accurate reporting and forecasting process meeting Aalberts guidelines & internal controls. Your role involves hands-on management of month-end and year-end closings, coupled with a strategic approach to process optimization. You will be the financial point of contact for the financial control team and a number of business teams.
- You will manage a timely, efficient and accurate reporting and forecasting process for Aalberts group, enabling group management to steer the company on reliable data meeting Aalberts guidelines & internal controls;
- You will review group financial statements and reports to ensure they’re accurate and complete and initiate adjustments were deemed necessary;
- You initiate, stimulate and follow-up improvements group wide on reporting, KPI measurements and internal control;
- You lead and inspire the Financial Control team and the rest of the finance community;
- You are responsible for the entire planning & control cycle of the assigned business teams, ensuring timely and accurate forecasting/reporting. Focus is on analysing management information, financial results and strategy effectiveness;
- You will support your business teams with regard to financial reporting, forecasting and (initiate) improvements of the overall quality of the reported data;
- You are the specialist in the field of group accounting topics (IFRS, implementation of IFRS guidelines and IFRS support of the various operating companies. Identifying complex IFRS and other external reporting issues and ensuring a suitable pragmatic solution;
- You will be the specialist and support partner for the group-wide reporting of lease contracts (IFRS-16);
- You are independent and critical in safeguarding Aalberts’ interests and ensuring business decisions are grounded on sound financial criteria.
Functie eisen
The ideal candidate has a completed university education, preferably supplemented with an RA program and at least 5 years comparable work experience within an (international) industrial environment. You take responsibility and are pragmatic in your delivery, you initiate progress pro-actively and get things done, not waiting for someone else.
